Making women's interest more interesting for publishing company The Pool.
This Webby Award 2017 winning publishing platform was commissioned by previous Red Magazine editor, Sam Baker, broadcaster and presenter Lauren Laverne and previous art director of Grazia Magazine Sara Horrocks. Our aim was to create a new online women's interest publication that planned and published content like traditional publishing models of television and radio. The Pool was born. Working and defining approaches and designs for initial investor presentations, through Art Direction, Strategy, IA and Design. The unique timed publishing model, various editorial formats, tactile features like 'the wheel' carousel and a discrete advertising model of sponsored content and minimal advertising banners creates an immersive and inviting environment designed solely around the reading pleasure for it's time-poor, interest-rich audience.
